What were you grateful for this week?Everything!

What was the most challenging part of this week?I suppose the only challenging part of my week was learning to surf.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. A wow moment for me was cooking dinner for the kids and their cousins.

Tell us about your week!On Monday, [my host family’s son] and I played together all morning and couple hours into the afternoon. He’s starting to want to hang out with me even when I’m not working which is so cute. [My host family’s other son] was sick so he just rested. I felt like there were major breakthroughs with both of my kids, which makes me so proud of them. [My host family’s sons] both spoke English to me on their own, even their cousins are trying to speak to me in English! We all played board games, swam at the beach, and surfed.

This week we all have had a wonderful week full of laughs and smiles. My host parents are noticing a change in the kids which of course makes me happy.

On my day off I went around in Rome and shopped. I also went to the colosseum, Rome forums, and palatine hill. I met with other Travelers and they showed me around.

What’s really amazing about my host family is that we have traveled a lot already. First two weeks we were in Buonconvento, then for a couple days we stayed in Rome, and now we are at the sea side in Ansedonia. They are very welcoming and we always have something to do which honestly makes it easier on me. I’m so grateful for this experience, and it pushes me to try harder with the kids everyday even though it comes natural because they are so good to me.
