What were you grateful for this week? That I have an amazing family both here in Italy and at home. As well as having some amazing friends out here in Italy.

What was the most challenging part of this week?I really want to go home. I really miss my family and want to see them and spend time with them.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I made my family banana bread and they love it. I am giving them the recipe.

Tell us about your week! This week has been really hard. I am really missing home and I am having a really hard time finding the energy to give to my family. I love them and they are amazing though and have really helped me out. They know when I need time to myself. I got to spend a lot of time with the cousins this week and I have been helping them with their english homework.

One of the cousins is reading The Great Gatsby for his class and I got to read it with him and explain some things and help him make sense of this classical book. I also helped the other cousin finish her homework. We went into town and got to have breakfast and walked through a market that was going on in our little city. It was a lot of fun and I got to ask her about her upcoming trip to England.

I also got to make banana bread for my family. They found it very weird that I was asking them for their browning bananas but love the end result. They even have to hide it from the grandpa so he doesn’t eat it all in one sitting. I think I will be making banana bread for the rest of the time I am here. I am also teaching them how to make it so that they have a little something to remind them of me after I leave.
