What were you grateful for this week?Meeting new Rome Abroad girls ❤️

What was the most challenging part of this week? This heat is rough not gonna lie.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I helped out my host dad when my host mom had to travel to Milan for work!

Tell us about your week! On Saturday I finally made it to Capri! I’ve been wanting to go there my whole time there and I’m so glad I finally did! Capri is beautiful, it’s water is blue, the people are friendly, the waiters are flirty, it’s just such a nice atmosphere too. I met a Rome Abroad girl there and we took the island tour together which was so worth it. We had an awesome tour guide who shouted “Mamma Mia!” the whole time it was so iconic. Just a side note but: Italians definitely say Mamma Mia more often than I thought.

One thing that was kind of a bummer is that we weren’t able to see the Blue Grotto because the waves got rough so they closed it down, but the blue water made up for it.

We got some food and walked around looking at the shops and market and then headed back. We went to Sorrento and spent a little bit there looking at the shops down the alleys and the different kinds of pasta and all the lemon products. After that we headed to my host house and got pizza for dinner at a little shop I had no idea was just around the corner in my city.

On Sunday we headed to Amalfi and Positano! I had been to Positano before but I’ll gladly go back there any day it’s so unreal. We went to Amalfi after and swam in the beautiful blue water.
