What were you grateful for this week?my parents!
What was the most challenging part of this week?
Stressing about money haha.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Kept the kids at a park for three hours, they love being at home where it’s not as hot! (me too).
Tell us about your week! This week was good! It was my last week in Rome and I’m going to Calabria for the rest of my time here. I went to the Vatican museums twice this week just because I could. The first time I booked an early morning tour so I was able to go in an hour and half before it opened! It was a great experience that I would definitely recommend to other people traveling that want to avoid the crowds in late June. The second time was super short notice, it was my last day here so I thought why not and waited in the queue outside for 90 minutes for a last minute ticket. This was also super worth it as I stayed as long as they let me and was one of the last visitors in the galleries. I got the most amazing pictures of the belvedere torso and the Laocoön where nobody was around.
I also saw a gorgeous sunset and found a really cute swimsuit this week. Overall, with me going home next week it feels like this was Rome’s way of sending me off. I’ve fallen in love with this city, and I’m excited to be able to bring my family here and show them everything one day.
It was definitely a slower week, but really great nonetheless.
