What were you grateful for this week?I am grateful to have friends traveling abroad as well!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Working on getting down a routine!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I felt so much gratitude this week to be able to have a temporary family here! Some of the best moments are hanging out with them and feeling a part of a family! This week we did a few extra art projects and science experiments with the kids!

Tell us about your week! This last week went well. My schedule recently changed with my family so I am working on changing routines and finding a new self routine to follow. It helps a lot to have weekend activities planned!

On Friday I went out with my host family to a neighborhood dinner. It was super nice to just sit and talk with all of the families. It is fun to be a part of this culture and experience!

On Saturday a friend and I visited Lake Como. It was beautiful! I wasn’t expecting the town of Como to be so huge! The day at the lake was warm and we had a picnic while we laid out. The lake is super nice and I wanted to swim but no one swims in the lakes here. We got to visit inside a church in como and eat gelato — as always. On Sunday I went to a neighborhood pool party for one of my host kids’ friends. The pool was nice and it was overall a relaxing weekend spent out in the sun! It is getting super warm so any chance to swim is definitely appreciated.

During the week I planned an art project with the kids that went well! It is fun to have an activity planned for the day and something that they can keep. We mixed shaving cream and glue to create puffy paint and painted ice cream cones!
