What were you grateful for this week? The amazing family I got put with.

What was the most challenging part of this week?Communicating.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Helped around the house.

Tell us about your week! This week was awesome! It was my first official week. I met a bunch of other Rome Abroad girls and they are all so much fun to be around! I love to meet up in the morning and grab lunch together.

I went to Naples this weekend and honestly I thought it was pretty gross. I walked around for about an hour and then decided to go to Pompeii and I was so happy I did! It was unbelievable. I could not believe that there was a city from 79 AD that I was walking through. The way everything was preserved was truly remarkable. The colors of painting and of mosaics were still the same colors back from that time. I spent all day there just wandering around and I honestly could have spent a couple more hours there!

When I got back the next day my family took me out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant. We had a bunch of really good food and some I had never even tried before! I tried some black sesame ice cream and it tasted so good.

My family has been amazing and have made me feel very comfortable so far. They are big foodies just like me and it has been the best time going out to their favorite restaurants and trying new things! I also had two of my best friends from home visit and I got to spend two days with them! It was the best time ever!
