What were you grateful for this week?Google maps haha. What was the most challenging part of this week?Surviving the heat! It went from raining every day to 95 degrees.Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I took the little girl to school and one of the boys to his summer camp.Tell us about your week! This has been one of my favorite weeks so far! I was able to meet up with several of the different girls in the program. It is so nice having travel buddies! Some of them live really close to me which makes it very convenient. It was fun getting to know them and exploring the city together.
The kids have been doing great! The 3 year old is learning more and more English! We can usually understand each other now haha. Her favorite phrases include “close your eyes” (we play hide and seek a lot), “come play”, “can I have milk please?”, and “your turn”. The 8 year old has been teaching me how to play soccer since that’s THE sport in Europe. He is whipping me into shape! We decided that after he teaches me soccer, I will teach him basketball. The kids have been fascinated by different American games like Simon says and duck, duck, goose.
My little sister took a trip to Europe this past week, so I had the chance to meet up with her! It was so fun to see someone I know. We went to London, York, and Edinburgh together. Apparently York was named the most haunted city in Europe by National Geographic…So we went on a ghost tour and explored the haunted dungeons. I didn’t see any ghosts, but there is something eery and familiar in the atmosphere. Honestly, York is my new favorite place. That city makes my heart feel like it’s home.
