What were you grateful for this week?I am grateful for the experience to travel with my friends!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Weekend trips are so worth it! But traveling is always so stressful and can be scary at times. We went to Greece this weekend and there was a lot of flight catching, ferry hopping, taxi grabbing, and scary hotels involved but so fun!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I am so excited to have them be out of school this week! I went to a few of the kids’ plays this last week and it was so fun to see their end of year performances they did so good!

Tell us about your week! This week my friends and I travelled to Greece. The week before was going a little slow but it is so nice to have weekend trips to look forward to! We travelled on Friday to Athens and then to Santorini. Santorini is so beautiful and the Mediterranean Sea was so nice. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to go!

In the morning at Santorini we did a 6 mile hike from Fera to Oia. It was early but worth it to miss the crowd. It was such a nice hike and it was fun to get up early and have more time to experience Greece. We got to sit at the beach all day and catching the bus around the island wasn’t that expensive either! We then celebrated my friend’s birthday that night and left the next day on a ferry. I traveled all day and night and it is stressful to try and make sure that you make flights and have secure transportation but for all the memories it is so worth it. We had such a good time and all have been friends since before high school so it was fun to experience this with them.

I can’t wait to travel more on the weekends and see other parts of Europe as well as Italy. It was nice to get back and see my host family again! It felt like a little piece of home to come back to since I have more familiarity here!
