What were you grateful for this week? That the family was so accommodating to my vegan lifestyle and preparing most of not all vegan meals!
What was the most challenging part of this week?Getting the routine down for [my host family’s son].
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I cleaned up the living room, kitchen and bathroom while they went to the market.
Tell us about your week! The first few days my host moms parents were in town. They helped me with [their host son] and understand a routine for him. They were so kind and took me to some beaches around the city and local lakes in Biarritz. We also went to an organic grocery store where they had many vegan options! I’d honestly say more than most stores in the United States.
I was with [my host family’s son] for most of the week. The mom and [my host family’s son] took me around the city and to the beach. We played on the beach and chased him, while he chased birds. The host dad offered to take me running, but I forgot my running shoes back home so I’ll need to buy some here. I’ll also be helping my host mom with her social media and photography for her interior design company! I’m excited to be working on that!
What I noticed about [my host family’s son] is that he loves the little things in life and is a big observer. His name is [G] for a reason, as he is always telling stories and asking questions. He’s so funny because he fake cries while looking in the mirror and practices his emotions and expressions in the mirror.
I’ll be enrolling in French classes this week and hope I’ll start in the next few weeks!
