What were you grateful for this week?Macarons and best friends!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Catching flights.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I helped them prepare for dinner.

Tell us about your week! This week was both challenging and amazing. I think I was feeling a little homesick which was hard but it wasn’t too bad because I had a very good distraction, paris! I went with a couple of other Rome abroad travelers and wow. I loved it. So I woke up way early on Saturday to catch a two hour bus ride to the nearest airport which had a layover in Germany so by the time I actually made it to Paris I was just so anxious to see everything. We started with the louvre, ate escargot and TarTar for dinner (which the tartar was kind of disgusting to look at I won’t lie) and then we all took a ride up the Eiffel Tower to watch the sunset! It was perfect. The next day we went to Versailles which was so impressive and just wandered Paris and eventually climbed the Arc de Triomph afterwards. It was so perfect but we were all so exhausted.

Paris was gorgeous and one of a kind. It had a special kind of feeling to the city that you couldn’t find anywhere else. My favorite part honestly was hanging out w the other girls and also climbing the Eiffel Tower. These experiences have been so unreal, but also I’m very grateful to be back w my host family to catch up on some lost sleep haha.
