What were you grateful for this week?Sunny weather.

What was the most challenging part of this week?Taking a night train haha I do not recommend it.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I went to a play my host son was in. I wanted to show my support for him and the family.

Tell us about your week! This was a great week! I honestly can’t believe that it’s already over. Time is flying! I was sick for part of the week with a cold which kinda blows, but my family was so kind and helpful. The kids all wanted to take care of me, bringing me water and medicine haha. I love them.

It is finally starting to warm up, so I took the kids out to the park a few times this week. We colored with chalk and blew bubbles. They eat that sort of thing right up. Many dance parties were held with the two youngest kids. I love dancing with them. The little girl thinks I’m an amazing dancer because she thinks I’m amazing at everything, which I love. She loves to twirl around and jump into my arms. I met up with another Traveler in Rome this week. We walked around, ate crepes, went to the mouth of truth, and spoke in English (my favorite thing besides gelato)!! All of the Travelers are so nice here! I’ve loved getting to know more and more of them. It’s nice to have several of them in Rome with me.

I went to Venice this weekend. It was simply divine. The town is so dreamy with the canals and palaces. We rode in a gondola which has been a dream of mine since I was probably 8? It was so beautiful! We walked around the plazas and visited Doge’s palace. It was so gorgeous. Lots of gold. The Leonardo da Vinci museum was a huge hit. I think he is so incredible, so it was a lot of fun to look at his work. It’s honestly insane to think that one person could create so many things in that time. There was an interactive area where you could build some of his contraptions. I couldn’t do it haha. Consider me impressed. The hostel we stayed at had such a fun atmosphere. We accidentally crashed a 60th birthday party. There was karaoke and dancing – so FUN. Riding water buses was a great experience that I’m going to miss.
