Drowning in (Swiss) Cheese Fondue: A’s Week

What were you grateful for this week?Rainy weather!

What was the most challenging part of this week? This week was super easy and nice!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I helped clean up after dinner!

Tell us about your week! This week was the easiest and smoothest week I’ve had here! Normally my host family has 3 boys I watch after but this week the oldest two were away on a holiday all week! So I only had to be with the youngest who is so funny and entertaining. I showed him the slow motion recording feature on my phone and we had a blast recording him doing crazy tricks, jumps, and running then watching back in slow motion!

As a girl who loves chilly and rainy weather and gets cranky in hot weather it’s been so nice (as much as everyone else hates it) that Rome has been cold and rainy! I read online that it’s the coldest May since 1957 and I’m so grateful that it’s happening while I’m here! During the week, I went to the only Non-Catholic Cemetery (which the rainy weather was perfect aesthetic weather for) and I got to walk through and see such beautiful burials dating back to the 1800’s! One of them is a weeping angel and it was breathtaking. Over the weekend N, another Rome Abroad traveler, and I went to Geneva Switzerland and had so much fun! We went to an authentic Swiss restaurant and was just drowning in cheese fondue! I got to play an alpshorn and met other travelers and bonded over the live music!
