What were you grateful for this week? American food. What was the most challenging part of this week?Humidity. Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Take care of the baby, so the adults could get things done. Tell us about your week! This week has been very good. I love how living in China is so completely different than living in America. Here, even the 7 year olds know a form of Independence. This city is SO safe and travel is relatively cheap and convenient.I went to a public park on Sunday thinking it would be a nice patch of grass. I was wrong! It’s like they took a corner of old Shanghai and preserved it. The garden was this giant block of gardens and Stone structures. It was peaceful and quiet and you could feel how old everything in there was, like it was from a different lifetime and people. It was such a relief from the city! I’m such an outdoors country girl that this public park is easily my favorite place I’ve been so far. I’ve also fallen in love with the Chinese people. There are certain aspects of their culture I do not agree with, but I just love them. I just feel like they are the biggest population who make the least noise. They are so peaceful and just so unaware of how different they are from the rest of the world. Also, I went to Disneyland this week!! It was like stepping into America. I’ve found that I have a strong love for everything American and S and I found a shake shack!!
