What were you grateful for this week?I’m thankful for my host mom, she took me to the doctors at one in the morning when I had an allergic reaction to something I ate.

What was the most challenging part of this week? The most challenging part of this week was getting enough sleep.Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I try to do things around the house to help out my host family.

Tell us about your week! This week has been amazing! My host family is constantly checking in on me making sure I’m okay. They have helped me find flights to London, train tickets to Cordoba, and so much more. They treat me like I’m their daughter and I always feel welcomed here.

Public transportation has been my favorite part of this week. I fell asleep on the train at least three times this week, got on the wrong bus multiple times but I always find my way home somehow.

I made new friends this week and spent the weekend with another Au Pair from Serbia. Museums in Madrid were free this Saturday so we spent all day in museums. I learned a lot about Europe and had a great time. I tried Madrid’s famous ham and churros. I ordered some hot chocolate and got a cup of chocolate that was hot! I was not expecting that but I found out that I was supposed to dip my churros in the chocolate! We ended up walking 12 mile and we were exhausted by the end of the day!

On Sunday I spent the day with my host family. We went to my host moms parents house and had some delicious food. After we went back home and had family over. We played card games and I let my host mom cut my hair! Overall I had an amazing week.
