What were you grateful for this week?I am so great full that I got placed with my host family! They have been so inviting and welcomed me into their home and have treated me like a family member since I arrived! I love them all so much and I can’t wait to spend the next few months with them.

What was the most challenging part of this week? The most challenging thing this week has been that it has been raining so much. I love the rain but it makes it hard to enjoy the outdoors.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.My host mother had surgery this week so I’ve been going out of my way to make sure that she is comfortable and doesn’t have to stress about her daughter during the day.

Tell us about your week! The week has been amazing. I have been planning this trip with Rome Abroad for over a year and a half now and I cannot believe that I am actually here living in Italy for 3 months! I was so nervous about my flights and making sure that I would be okay in my host family’s home, but all of my worries were put to rest quickly. My family has been so inviting and so caring. I instantly felt like I belong with them and that I am a part of their family. I love the little girl that I watch! She is so bright and curious and loves to play the card games that I brought with me. We went to the store earlier this week and she and I went around telling each other what things were called in our own language and helped each other with the pronunciation. We have also been painting and coloring a lot. We want to hang up our artwork with the other art all over the house. We are both very excited for warmer weather so that we can enjoy the outdoors! We, along with my host mom, have planned a trip down to Rome and I am so excited to get to travel around this amazing city! I am so excited for the next few months!
