What was the most challenging part of this week?Running a Spartan Race.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Did some babysitting for another family so my host mom could go out.
Tell us about your week! My week in Australia seemed so short. Since signing up for the gym, I’ve been spending every morning working out. The best part about it is all the people I’ve met and it’s so cool to be able to learn new things from them (just at the gym). A few times this week I went down to south bank to go swimming and to just hang out.
Over the weekend I ran my first Spartan Race ever. If you don’t know what a Spartan race is you should look it up and think about doing one because I 100% recommend it. I did the race with one other au pair friend and we placed 126/127 out of 600 which I thought was really good. I think the best part about the race was that everyone was so willing to help each other and people of all different fitness levels participated in this race.
On Sunday I went to south bank to go swimming, once again, and then we went to happy hour at one of our favorite restaurants. Throughout the week I also got to babysit some other families which is nice because I got to make more money and spend time with the family that was not my own.
Overall, I leave for Melbourne next week and I’m pretty stoked about it. I just love Australia so much and I don’t know what I’m gonna do when I have to leave this beautiful place.
