What were you grateful for this week?I was super grateful for good food this week haha. 

What was the most challenging part of this week?Walking the dog in the rain and trying not get him wet (it was not a very challenging week hahaha). 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I walked my host family’s dog in the rain hahahha. 

Tell us about your week! So this week was so much fun! I felt like I really connected with my host family and growing very close to their daughter. I absolutely love living with them. I feel like I say this every week but they are seriously the best host family. They have made me feel so included and I feel so lucky to be here with them. 

This weekend I went to Verona! I had no expectations about going since most people only talk about going to Rome, Florence and Venice. But it blew me away. It was like walking into a Shakespeare play (get it. Because Juliet’s balcony).

My host mom told me that on Instagram, you only see the most touristy things of a city, like the Trevi Fountain and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but there’s so much more to cities than just the one photo! So going to Verona was such a great choice. It was just so gorgeous and full of so much history too. It was definitely worth going to.

I was able to meet some new people at the hostel I stayed at, which always makes traveling so much more fun! My favorite part of Verona was seriously just walking around the streets. They were so picturesque and lovely. I couldn’t believe it.
