Skinny-dipping in Cinque Terre: K’s Week

What were you grateful for this week? Nature! I LOVED the mountains and the beach this weekend.

What was the most challenging part of this week? This week was actually one of the best I’ve had!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week [my host family’s daughter] has been speaking English so much more than usual. It’s so cool to see her learning!

Tell us about your week! This week has been SO good. Monday was my host dad’s birthday and we had a nice dinner and a cake that was kind of strange but really good. I also feel like my Italian is finally getting a little better! I found a little trail into the hills and vineyards at the beginning of this week and walked up it for a few hours then just sat up there enjoying the sun for a few more. It was so pretty. Everything is blooming right now and its been really nice weather, so being up in the hills surrounded by all the new flowers and vines was so beautiful. I have been going back every day since!

This weekend I went to Cinque Terre and met up with M, A, and A’s fam. I think it was one of my favorite places so far. The little cities were all so cute and the water was AMAZING. It was so clear and the prettiest color. We got to see all but one of the cities and it was a really cool experience. In Monterosso we all jumped off of a cliff into the sea naked. HA! It was pretty cold but a really cool experience. We also hiked between the top to cities and the view was awesome.

Time is flying. I only have one month left and I know I’ll definitely miss it once I am home.
