M4’s Last Week in Milan

What were you grateful for this week? Medicine.

What was the most challenging part of this week?I’ve been sick for the majority of the week.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. A wow moment was when my host family went out of their way to get me medicine so I can get better faster.

Tell us about your week! This week was pretty rough because I’ve been sick for majority of it. Whenever [my host family’s son] gets sick he tend to get me sick too, I don’t know if that because we are always together or because he coughs all over everything but regardless every time one of us is sick the other gets it too. So I’ve been doing all the normal work I do except I’ve had this pressure in my head that caused a weeklong headache. So that has been rough, luckily my family went out and got me some antibiotics and stuff to help me sleep. It’s been working a bit.

I leave next weekend, it’s bittersweet — I’m excited to have freedom of my own schedule again but I’m going to miss Italy a lot; the food, the places, almost everything about it. I’ve decided to stop the traveling after florence and save up some money so I can by a ticket again or go through this program again. So this next weekend I don’t know what I’m going to do but I have to make it count, it’s my last weekend. I haven’t been on the top of the duomo yet, which is crazy, but I think I’ll do that this weekend. Maybe I’ll go to a bunch of art museums.
