Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. 

One night I helped G study for an English exam at the dinner table. He had a very busy day and somehow we managed to pull off some last minute homework while enjoying our meal. 

Tell us about your week! Where has all the time gone!? Arriving in my final week in Italy, It’s hard to believe that this adventure is coming to a close end. Reflecting on my first arrival, I can say with much confidence that I have grown immensely. This journey has taken me completely out of my comfort zone and I am very grateful for that. This past week I was able to meet up the friends I’ve made in the Rome Abroad program. I have quickly established such a deep bond with each of these wonderful ladies. We met up at the park for a picnic. The weather has been so beautiful and granted us a morning in the sun. Enjoying our food and sharing our experiences, I am so grateful for their company. It’s also been great to see how they’ve flourished in this Eternal City. We also enjoyed a brief weekend in Venice. I’m so impressed with our ability to navigate ourselves and accomplish so much within our days off. We wandered around without much of an agenda letting ourselves get lost. Each turn had something picturesque to offer. I love how some streets led directly to the canal. In the hottest moments I contemplated jumping in. Looking back I had not expected to experience and see all that I have in these past 3 months. In the most beautiful moments I have a hard time comprehending what lies before me. I guess I’m still in a little bit of shock. I thought it would’ve worn off by now! Haha 🙂
