What were you grateful for this week?Meeting new people.

What was the most challenging part of this week?Learning how to see a new city in just two days!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. After every meal, I help clean up and do the dishes.

Tell us about your week! This week was so much fun! I met my host family and have started getting to know them! Their kid is so cute and so fun to hang out with! She is seriously one of the best things about Italy so far. The parents have also been very helpful in helping me plan trips and making this experience a lot easier.

I also went to Florence this weekend! I was all by myself, and I keep thinking it’s going to be a lot harder, but it was actually really fun. It makes it easier to step outside of my comfort zone and talk to new people. I was able to meet a couple of people from America who were just visiting and we ended up going to some museums together and hanging out!! Traveling by yourself is honestly so rewarding. When something goes right, it goes right because of what you did. Like catching a train last minute and seeing all of the sights you wanted to see. I’ve been loving it so much so far it’s been amazing. And Florence was so beautiful. It’s so filled with art and a lovely culture and great food haha. My favorite part was definitely seeing the David statue and the Uffizi Gallery. I wouldn’t trade any of these experiences for the world.
