What were you grateful for this week? Au pairs.
What was the most challenging part of this week? The kids.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.A good wow moment was I met a bunch of new au pairs and we all hung out right next to this arch that I had no idea was like a five minute walk from my house.
Tell us about your week! This week was just the average week. I did my morning routine and made them breakfast and then took them to their activities after and helped them with english and so on.
It wasn’t exciting until the weekend. I didn’t go anywhere but my family left to Biella on Saturday night so i had the house to myself for a whole 24 hours. It was awesome — I played music super loud and watched tv and took a nap in the sun on their patio and just got to enjoy the silence and the space of being alone. I then went out at night and met up with all of the other au pairs in a huge group message I’m in, there’s like 300 people in there that come and go but I met like 20 new people. It was cool to see other kids that are doing the same thing I am and dislike the same things I do. A lot of them have a pretty sweet set up, I work more hours than most which I wasn’t surprised, but some of them are live in au pairs but their family pays for their own apartment so I’m going to try to find that if I ever come back out here again because that sounds pretty sweet.
The pizza out here is so good, I think that’s the thing I’m going to miss the most. The firewood cooked pizza and the sorbet gelato. It’s seriously amazing I’ve never had anything like it before and probably never will. One of the kids I watch is going to be in Wales on a school trip for the week so it will be a pretty easy week hopefully.
