What were you grateful for this week?Being able to travel and see new things that I never would have been able to experience otherwise!

What was the most challenging part of this week?Learning how to get around Italy, and use their public transportation without knowing the language.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I just met my family, but I was able to help with the dishes and walk their dog!

Tell us about your week! This week has been incredible. I spent it first in Rome, and it was so beautiful! It was amazing to be in such a different environment. I got so much gelato and pizza, and the architecture was breathtaking. I was able to see so much within my time there too! My favorite part was definitely the Vatican City. The Sistine chapel was even better in person, and it’s been my dream to see it. I also absolutely loved the Roman Forum, it took forever to get through but was worth it! I was also able to meet a couple of super nice girls from Spain, which made the trip way more fun. Rome was so incredible, and I loved all of it. Everyone was so friendly and most people knew English too which was way nice haha.

Once the week was over, I was then able to meet my host family on Sunday! I haven’t spent much time with them, but they were able to show me parts of Merano. They’re so kind and their kid is so fun to hang out with. I seriously can’t wait to get to know them more. They have been so welcoming, they’ve been able to make me feel right at home. It’s made this entire transition so much easier. I’ve loved my stay in Italy so much so far.
