Living the Dream in Positano: S’s Week

What were you grateful for this week?Everything.

What was the most challenging part of this week?Walking up and down 2,000+ stairs to get from the mountains to the beach.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Friday I was asked to pick up V from her ballet class. Usually she doesn’t have class on Fridays but they have a performance coming up. She and I walked there, on the way she acted as my personal tour guide. She pointed out some things and made recommendations. It was a nice walk, I enjoy a change of scenery with the kids!

Tell us about your week! In the final stretch of this journey, greeting the spring with fresh perspective. Watching Rome transition from Winter to Spring has been so beautiful. I find that in correlation within myself. Arriving here I felt vulnerable and bare, much like the vegetation around me. Now everything is blooming, as am I. It’s incredible to reflect back and realize how much I have grown and learned! Not only has my relationship with myself deepened, so has my love for this family. My host family has been so amazing! I really lucked out with such a great bunch. I really enjoy every meal we have together. This experience is truly unlike any other. It doesn’t feel like a “job” — it’s how I’s prefer to spend my time! In addition to another great week, I had the opportunity to travel with an amazing group of girls. We went to Positano and we really came together to pull it off in two days. I love seeing how we all displayed our strengths to make things work. Positano is a complete dream. I’m still in such awe. I feel like I fell down a rabbit hole into a realm of fantasy. The hillside houses seemingly stacked on top of one another, displaying warm tones. The countless gardens supplying bountiful harvests of oranges and lemons. Being able to hike among the most charming villas into the mountains then turn to see the glistening sea. What kind of life is this?!
