Tell us about your week! C
I started my week off by ending my trip in Sydney. I had a lot of fun exploring a new part of Australia and honestly I didn’t expect it to be how I thought it would be. Overall, I like Brisbane way more than I like Sydney. Brisbane is more laid back and peaceful versus Sydney where it’s so busy and you always feel like you are on the go.
After getting back from Sydney I had 3 days with nothing to do because [my host family’s son] is gone at his dad’s so I decided to just lay back and chill and go downtown to workout.
On Saturday, I attended a bar crawl which was awesome because it was different from the ones that I’ve done before. It had roughly 40 people and it took us 4 hours to do 4 different bars. Throughout the whole evening, I met a lot of different people either from Australia or not and it was cool to get new perspectives.
The following day, Sunday, I went down to southbank to swim and go to happy hour with one of my really good friends here too. Doing things like that makes me feel like such a local here. I love Australia so much that I really don’t know what I’m going to do once I have to leave this place in less than 2 months.
