What were you grateful for this week?Being able to see more of Italy. 

What was the most challenging part of this week?

Transportation.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I’ve been able to take the daughter to the park a few times this week before dinner and spend time with her and her friends from school. 

Tell us about your week! This week was amazing. I had my regular schedule with dropping off and picking up my child from school and her extracurricular activities. I’ve enjoyed spending time with my host family and their parents for family dinners and get togethers. I had a bit of a cold earlier this week but was thankful to have gotten better before leaving for the weekend. 

This weekend M4 and I were able to meet my cousin in Venice for carnival. We didn’t know what to expect but knew it was a big celebration. The carnival was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The costumes, food, sites and overall atmosphere was an incredible experience that I will never forget. Once again on our train ride home last night we got off on the wrong stop and missed our connecting train. Unfortunately what was supposed to be a 4 hour ride home took us over 7. 

Thankfully M4 and I were together and eventually made it home by midnight. I was not expecting to have so much trouble learning public transportation so that has been a big adjustment. Definitely hoping to master the trains and busses before I leave next month! This weekend was so amazing and I can’t wait for what this next week will hold.
