What were you grateful for this week?Cibo [food].
What was the most challenging part of this week?Getting everything done (including sleep).
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. We’ve been able to be flexible with scheduling to work things out.
Tell us about your week!I finally got a metro card last week! In Milan the metros are very clean and usually not too crowded. Overall it’s a very clean city. Because the metro is a good mode of transportation, I use it enough that I decided to get a card. Since I got the card, I’ve been able to use the other train system and the streetcars as well, and it’s been very nice. There are many very good places to eat in Milan, but I have a few favorites since I have a big stomach and eat a lot. In particular there is a restaurant with several enormous dishes that are home-made style, which I have gone to a couple times, and also a wonderful pizzeria I enjoy with reasonable pricing.I have also been looking for a place to get a haircut lately, but in the end I have never had time to go get it cut. Yesterday I found a fairly reasonable place, but I ended up not being able to go this morning either. Hopefully I will be able to go tomorrow before my next trip.In my Italian class, many people will be leaving soon. I’ll be sad to see them go since we’ve gotten along quite well, but I guess it’s also an opportunity to meet new people as well. For Valentine’s day last week we ate chocolate cake. Mmmm. The picture is from a museum I visited highlighting the history of Milan. Pictured is a poncho that belonged to Giuseppe Garibaldi.
