What were you grateful for this week?Free time. 

What was the most challenging part of this week? Not having a plan.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I worked over the weekend so my host parents could work. 

Tell us about your week! I finally made it to Southbank! It’s really cool, there’s a manmade beach, an awesome playground, lots of restraunts, and beautiful scenery! I went with a big group of kids my age and we had a scavenger hunt and it was so fun! I’ve been making new friends and it’s been really great! I also had some alone time on Monday so I went to a movie. The theatre was kind of small but really cute! They had choctocs there, which is an ice cream cone with a hard chocolate shell and they are really good! I also went to the park and saw some weird birds and it was nice to look around the shops! 

My host family’s daughter is so cute and I was able to put her hair in pigtails, she’s 1 and it was not easy but she looked so cute! I take the dogs and the little girl to the park almost every day and she loves to watch the dogs run after the ball! It’s nice and hot in Brisbane so sometimes I hate going to the park because of the heat and humidity but most days it’s not too bad. Some days have been hard but most days have been good! I learned this week that toddlers learn things so quickly, in just a few days, the little girl has been able to walk on her own, wave, and blow kisses! I’m excited to watch her grow over the next few months!
