What were you grateful for this week?My amazing host family!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Saying goodbye to the girls.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I went to the Gold Coast this last weekend with my family and helped watch and keep track of the girls!

Tell us about your week! I can’t beleive my time is already up with this amazing family. They’ve grown to be more like family to me, and we have a relationship now that’ll last a life time. It’s been so bittersweet packing up my things and slowing saying goodbye to the girls. They don’t want me to leave but I’m so stoked to continue my traveling! I’ve been working extra hours this week to help watch the oldest girl H, she’s so thoughtful and intelligent. For only being 6, I’d say she had a good head on her shoulders. She’s like a spit image of my little sister so it’s made life that much eaiser. G has been the cheekiest, most stubborn but cuddly four year old I’ve ever met. We’ve talked about them coming to Utah to visit me and the national parks, and I’m sure I’ll be popping in from time to time to say hello! Anyways my weekend at the Gold Coast was so nice! They had caroling and a firework show on the beach, which was something I’ve never seen before! I’m excited to have an Aussie christmas this year because it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Sunday we had a beach day and found these weird creatures that people call sea slugs, or a blue glaucus! They do sting so luckily we didn’t touch them with bare hands. The girls were fascinated by them. I love explaining how things work to the girls, they’re so eager to learn and it’s a treat for me to teach them new things. Until next time Brisbane!
