Living the Dream: K’s British Weekend

What were you grateful for this week?Netflix and good movies.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Figuring out ways to complete homework while taking a vacation from my vacation…lol.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. When traveling home from London, I brought back some things for the kids in my host family. The boy and I always talk about Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans so I brought those for him and a small unicorn stuffed animal for the little girl because her birthday is coming up.

Tell us about your week! This week has been magical. I traveled to London with S2 and fangirled over the British accents, the monuments, the Starbucks and the Harry Potter things everywhere. People in London walk around repping their house symbols like it’s nothing, we need more people like that in the US.

I have about ten days left until I am on my way home, which is absolutely crazy to think about, but it makes each day go by so much faster. I have now gotten used to living here and I don’t know if it’s now so easy for me to be here because I know I’m about to go home to my family for Christmas, but I am SO sad thinking about leaving these little ones and this amazing, temporary life that has been so impractical that I’m not sure if I dreamt it up.

The best part of my week was ice skating to Christmas music with my best friend in London. I’ve really enjoyed this whole experience, it’s hard for me to accept that it’ll be over soon and I’m sure I’ll always feel like this short 3 months was a dream. It’s supposed to snow this week and I’m really looking forward to it, I never thought I’d witness a white (almost) Christmas in Italy.
