What were you grateful for this week? The opportunity to travel outside of Italy!
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Waiting for Disneyland Paris…
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I really tried to help clean up the kitchen after dinner with the family! Like sweeping, wiping the table, washing dishes, cleaning the stove after use.
Tell us about your week! This weekend I traveled to Paris with B and S2. I had really high expectations, and yet, France exceeded them. It is just as beautiful as everyone says and just as big so if anyone wants to go again, let me know because I’ll plan a flight. We were able to have an extra day of traveling because my host family had a religious obligation and had family coming to borrow my current living space.
Our first night, we spent about 8 hours looking at the Eiffel Tower drinking champagne and eating a baguette. We also LOVE Starbucks (there’s only one in Italy!?) so we overindulged a little bit…or a lot.
Our second day was spent walking the city beginning with the Musee d’Orsay, walking up Champs de Elysees to see the Arch of Triumph during the sunset and to top it off, we had Chinese for dinner.
Sunday was full of smiles because we went to Disneyland Paris! It was really cool to go on familiar rides, but to hear the spiels in French or to see the show on the castle and hear all of the songs in French. As a trio, we work really well because we each have different strengths when it comes to planning trips and figuring out public transit. It’s a good thing we all love coffee and ice cream too!
