What were you grateful for this week? This week in grateful for GPS and kind Australians.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? This week I went out and on the way home my phone died due to my GPS running for so long. I was completely lost in the middle of Australia, I was crying and driving in circles I eventually saw a church or something and I pulled up and just overwhelmed sat in my car crying.

Someone knocked on my window to ask me if I was okay and I explained the situation and I was seriously so upset and honestly scared. The kind people showed me the way how to get home and luckily lived in the same suburb as me. Sometimes behind abroad by yourself is so freaking hard, especially when everything around you is stuff you don’t know or have ever seen but moments like that when solo traveling show me how capable I am no matter what.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I watched the kids on my day off so Mum could have a break and go see a show with her friends!

Tell us about your week! This week was amazing! My host family invited me on their holiday family trip to Mount Tamborine. We stayed at thunderbird park for 6 days, it’s insanely beautiful and has so much to do. There are beautiful birds everywhere, rock pools, hikes and so much more. I slept in my own tent in the middle of Australia and for some reason that’s insane to me. I hiked, jumped off rocks/ waterfalls into the rock pools even though the water was freezing, I came in contact with multiple spiders that were so massive that I am still not over it. I went to a glow worm cave at Mount Tamborine full of glow worms it was such a beautiful site and something so rare to see glow worms are only here and in New Zealand.

I really enjoyed this last week, I feel like I got closer with my host family and their family. We had dinner every night together and sat around the fire drinking and talking and laughing. I feel like the more time that passed here I learn honestly how free and capable I am, truly. I traveled across the whole world to live with people I’ve never met and some how they are growing to be people that I love so dearly. I just feel thankful for that. Thankful for the freedom to choose how cool my life can actually be.
