What were you grateful for this week? The spring.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Everything was pretty great this week!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I woke up early to make the girls a special breakfast on Friday and it made the day go by smoother.
Tell us about your week! It was such a beautiful week. I had Monday off since it is a holiday so I got a bunch of cleaning done! Tuesday and Wednesday I got to spend it with [my host family’s oldest daughter]. I wanted to take her to something she never really gets to see, and she hardly gets to experience the train unlike her little sister who rides every week. So we went to the museum and got ice cream in South Bank for the first day. We were seriously pooped because it was fairly hot that day and we did a lot of walking.
Wednesday we stayed around home, just packed a yummy picnic and headed to the park to play some frisbee and soccer. Being able to watch these beautiful girls bloom since I’ve been here is definitely my favorite part about being in Australia. It makes me think about making childcare part of my career path, I just have a sense for them.
Thursday and Friday were relaxing days for me. Normally I would go out on a Friday and see what’s going on in town, but I was planning on waking up early to take the train to Helensvale which is about 70 minutes away, I met my sister T and we headed up to mount Tamborine to see the Glow Worm Caves. They were seriously so amazing, I wish I could’ve gotten pictures but the worms stop glowing if they see any light! Good thing I love living in the moment.
Me and my sister stayed in the Gold Coast for the night and had a beach day on Sunday. Overall I’d say it was a solid week.(:
