What were you grateful for this week?Rain.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Being sick.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I got to meet my host mom’s parents! They were a huge help with getting to know the girls better!

Tell us about your week! This week I finally got to go out into nature! I visited Mount Coot-Tha, not much a mountain compared to the Rockies that I used to see everyday but the view was spectacular. I was blown away, I saw Brisbane city for what it was and all the small communities around it. I was so blown away that I sadly wasn’t able to grab a picture. They had a snazzy cafe there of course that had the best lemon ginger tea. I think part of missing a photo was because I fell sick last week. Only an Aussie cold but my body wasn’t used to it so it was pretty thought to get over.

My cold did start to feel better around the weekend so I was able to make it to the Gold Coast again to chat with some local friends and backpackers that I’ve met on this journey. It’s unbelievable how kind people are here, it’s so genuine. Even the people I see on the streets, they always lie and wish you a good day, you just don’t see that where I’m from.

As far as this next week goes, I’m hoping to visit the botanical gardens in Brisbane, just craving to be outside especially before it gets blazing hot. I’ve heard that you could spend hours in the botanical gardens because there’s so much to see. I can’t wait to see what life has in store!
