What were you grateful for this week? For feeling home.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Keeping up with my host routine. All good just sometimes wanting to take naps or do things that I normally do, just don’t want to seem lazy or give a bad image, but nothing against their routine.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.Setting the table and carrying grocery shopping bags and many little things without being asked.
Tell us about your week! We have travelled a lot. From Switzerland back to North of Italy. I simply can’t believe all the beautiful experiences with the places, landscapes, and my host family. Some days are tired because I don’t really know what the routine is about. In other words, I can’t really go and ask them “What’s today’s plan?” Because probably we are staying home and I just have to do my job with the kids, but there are other times where there is a plan but I’m not aware of. Therefore, I can’t really know what’s next after this or that.
But everything is great. I’m happy when I see that my little kid (I call him my little kid cause I really feel like he is a little brother) talks to me in English now. Of course there are many areas to help him improve, however, he talks to me the way he didn’t do it when we first met.
I’m halfway there my trip with this amazing family. Everyday I’m thankful for them, because I feel like I’m home. I haven’t lived with my family since I was 18, I know this process of moving in and out, some places and people you don’t really like, but this family is one of those people and places that remain always with you.
