What were you grateful for this week?My sister.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Directions.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I went to the he Ekka, which is what would be the county fair of Utah x10! So many ride and games. They also had hundreds of these show bags, different companies would make bundles for about 30 dollars for adults and kids and people would go through and buy hundreds of dollars worth of these! It was crazy!! The fair food was very yummy though, and they had live music the whole time!
Tell us about your week! I got to spend a lot of time getting to know my family this week. It was definitely the most important part for me as well. I really wanted to find that bond that I knew I was going to have with this family. They are seriously so kind and warm, I feel right at home here!
The views are a whole other story! Being so close to the city has been a huge perk, it’s only a 10 minute ride on the train so getting too enjoying lunch by the river is one of my favorite things to do. Also the coffee is to die for here, it’s so delicate and the perfect amount of bitter. I have more than 5 coffee shops near my house so it’s no problem finding one in the mornings when i take my eldest host sister to school.
I was also worried when I first got here that my celiac disease would be a problem, but the first thing we did was hit the grocery stores and stock up on my food, like I said I just feel right at home with them near people! I’ve also met two other Au Pairs in the Wilston area which are going to be excellent exploring buddies! I think my next adventure will be to either the Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast! Can’t wait for all of my adventures to come!
