Back to Italy: A’s Week

What were you grateful for this week?I’m grateful because everyday I get to know a little bit more my host family and because I can see improvement in the kids’ English.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?None.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I could spend more time in the pool, but instead I wanted to talk to the mom of the kids. I feel good that not only the kids are putting effort in learning and improving their English, but the parents too.

Tell us about your week! As any other week, this week was full of new experiences. We come back to Italy and the way back was really fun. Beautiful mountains, good food and good talks during the trip.

The Dad of the kids is such a great person. He is a good man, nice values, and great personality. I really like talking to him. I see how he tries to do his best to speak in English. I know that if I could speak Italian or of his English was better our conversations were deeper, however, I always learn from him. He doesn’t give up, and always does his best to talk in English.

The youngest kid is doing better. Sometimes he has told me “basta [stop] with english” ahaha but that proves that he has talked for a while in English. I see some improvement from him. This week we are in Forte dei Marmi and we are sharing room, so I think this has helped him talking more and feel more comfortable with the language. He understands more that what I thought. It’s just about finding the best way to start talking to him in English.I have really enjoyed this experience. I’m so glad I’m getting to know more the real Italian culture and specially for being with this amazing family.
