What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?

Finding something to occupy my time other than stay in my room and read. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I cleaned the house and made tiramisu. 

Tell us about your week! 

Monday: Mondays after traveling over the weekend are hard. It’s when I feel most homesick and I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m always tired from the long travel the day before and I don’t do much. I’m not sure how to get out of this slump and I’ve run out of ideas for teaching English. The training materials only got me so far and without WiFi it’s difficult to go back and reference them. In the evening we did a tree to tree obstacle course with the kids and my host moms brother. 

Tuesday: We cleaned her car before we went to a lake in the mountains. The lake was wonderful. The weather was cool and the water was so fresh. After the lake we hung out at a river then went home. It was a very relaxing day playing with the kids and hanging out with the host family. 

Wednesday: It was the last day of the kids day care, so the kids made dessert and had a good morning. I went to the grocery store and in the afternoon I watched over the kids while the host Mom went to work for a few hours. We watched Kung fu panda and had ice cream. After dinner I read them a few books in English. 

Thursday: We spent the day at the river. The car got stuck, we tried to get it out ourselves but that only made it more stuck. So the host went to go find a tractor and have them pull it out. She found one but we had to wait until after lunch before they could come help us. Finally by the end of the day she was able to find a tractor to get the car out. It was quite funny. 

Friday: The kids went to their grandma’s house so I had the day off. I spent it reading. I chose not to travel anywhere this weekend because it is my last weekend her in Italy and I’m tired of traveling so much.

Saturday: I spent most of the day reading and relaxing. I went to a cafe and used the WiFi for a bit catching up on the social media and what not. We are also preparing for a party on Sunday for the host moms brother. So she cut the grass and did gardening things while I cleaned the inside of the house. We went out to dinner and went to an arcade in the evening before doing to the beach to watch the meteor shower. 

Sunday: We finished preparing the house for the birthday party. We made 3 tiramisus and 2 fretatas. The party was interesting, everyone loved the tiramisu.
