What were you grateful for this week?I’m grateful for having the opportunity of visiting another country try with my host family.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?None.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I am getting to know them a little bit more. I know what their schedule normally is, so I’ve helped setting the table without being asked. Actually they never ask me because they have someone who does that, but I’ve helped few times to do so.

Tell us about your week! This week has been completely different thany first days in Italy.

I had the opportunity to travel with my host family to Switzerland. Actually, we are still here. It has been an wonderful experience driving from Milano to Verbier.

There are four languages spoken in Switzerland. On our way here, we stopped at a gas station and German was the language spoken.

We kept driving and 1 hour later, French was the main language.

In the same day I went from speaking English with my host family to “trying” to reply in German (just danke at the gas station) then listening and seeing everything in French.

We have been going to the mountains and the view is just amazing.

Normally we have lunch at restaurants that are on top of the Alps, and the view, food, people, culture, everything makes an unforgettable experience to me.I’ve met their cousins, uncles, aunts, grandpas, etc. They have a big family, and they all have been really nice to me.

I’m grateful for having this host family because they include me in their activities but at the same time, they are really respectful with my own time. They just make me feel part of them.
