What were you grateful for this week?Air conditioning.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?It has been so so so hot.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. It was one of the kid’s birthdays so I came back from where I was early to celebrate with them and also got him a couple of small gifts.

Tell us about your week! This week was the last week at the beach house. Most of the week I just spent all day with the kids at the beach. I love spending time with them by the sea because we can swim in the water and we build sand castles together. We also collect sea shells and play soccer. It is always just loads of fun in the sun. I feel like being able to spend more hands on time with the kids has been really great for the relationship that I have with them. I feel like we are getting closer and closer and like the finally listen to me and come to me for help and also feel like they can trust in me to be there for whatever they might need. I love the kids. They are a handful and probably the most hands on kids I have ever had to take care of, but they are a lot of fun and can be so loving.

For the weekend I just went into the city. L and I went to the Vatican museum and St. Peter’s Basillica. I still had not beeen even though I have been here for over 2 months, but we finally went on Sunday because the entrance was free! We got there an hour before the museum opened to be sure to not have to wait in a super long line, but when we got there, it had to be at least a quarter of a mile long! Thankfully once the museum opened, we got in quickly. Then I went back to the beach house and celebrated with the family since it was [one of my host family’s son’s] birthday. It was treasure hunt themed and everyone there had a blast.
