What were you grateful for this week? For having the opportunity to get to know my host family.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Not difficult, but challenging just getting used to listen everything in Italian and understanding just few things. But it’s all right, I will keep learning their language too.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This is my first week, so I got a present/gift for every single one of them, instead of just one for the family.

Tell us about your week! This is my first week in Italy. I have been with my host family just three days and it has been amazing.

They are all unique and have been really kind. I lost my flight from London to Milano (las Vegas plane fault) so I got to their house after 1:00 a.m and still they were really nice.

I’ve been traveling with them to other places besides Milano downtown, and I’m happy because not only the kids are talking more English, but the parents are improving their English as well.

It’s great living with this family because I get to know the Italian culture deeper. The kids are completely different but both are nice and funny. Parents include me in their activities and always ask me if I want to do this or that…I seriously can’t ask for more so far.

I’m having a great experience and I’m happy to contribute in this learning process.

I have been just few days in here and I can already see some improvements from the kids. For instance, the first day the youngest kid (J – 8) didn’t really want to say a word in English. Then I realized that he did know some English but was just shy. Now I puts more effort in having a conversation with me. He switches from Italian to English when we are together and I’m pretty sure he feels more comfortable when he’s just with me.Three days and wonderful exprecience already.
