What were you grateful for this week?  Grateful for hospitality and generosity. People’s friendliness in Greece was overwhelming.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?

Nothing was very difficult this week.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.

A wow moment that I had was that I helped teach one of the boys how to ride a ripstick. Which was really fun.

Tell us about your week!

This past week, I only spent 2 days with the family because I spent most of the week in Greece! I had such an amazing time! I was able to meet some of the other girls and they are all great!

We went to Santorini and Athens. We started the trip off in Santorini. The first part of the trip was spent in the village called Oia, which is where all of those famous blue and white buildings are.

It was spectacular. The sights were unreal. I had to keep pinching myself. We met some very nice locals while there. One includes a girl my age named Anca. She is a makeup artist and we met here while getting matching henna tattoos.

We had been planning to go cliff jumping the next day and invited her to come with us. Instead of just coming with us, she drove us directly to where it was! Cliff jumping was amazing! The water was such an insanely beautiful color. It hardly seemed real.

The next day was spent on a ferry so that we could get to Athens. It was a very long ride, but worth it because of the beautiful sights from the water. In Athens we were able to explore the city and while doing so, we stumbled upon a wedding dress shop.

C is getting married when she gets back and earlier on the trip we had been mentioning that she should just buy her wedding dress here, half kidding of course. We just had to go into the shop. Very unexpectedly she found a gorgeous dress that suited her perfectly and ended up buying it! The shop owner was so sweet and made us a reservation at a beautiful restaurant for the night.

After that we got to go to the Acropolis which was very cool. It’s insane to think that it’s been there for hundreds of years. We got to the rooftop restaurant and it had a view of the whole city and the Acropolis. It was a great way to end the trip.
