What were you grateful for this week?Phones. It would be difficult to travel without google maps! Haha!
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Being flexible. Sometimes it’s hard changing plans, but in Italy you have to learn to go with the flow.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I spent extra hours watching the little kids while the mom was at a hair appointment.
Tell us about your week! I finally saw my BFF after a month! S and I live so far apart from each other that we haven’t been able to see each other for a month. So this weekend was the best! We started in Verona. M, S and I met up and we found where Juliet’s wall is located. It was already closed because it was later in the evening, but we wanted to scope out the area for the next day. All three of us wrote letters to Juliet to put in her mailbox. I’m hoping for a response! ???????? The next day we went back to the wall and took a tour of the house and took pictures out on Juliet’s balcony. One of the highlights of the weekend because I love the movie Letters to Juliet. I also read Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet the night before to get me more excited! Then we headed off to Venice.
Venice was a dream. If I had to pick a city in Italy to be my one city it would be Venice. We walked across the bridges and of course took a gondola ride. Shout out to our gondola man Tony for being awesome. We also spent some time on the nearby islands of Murano and Burano. Murano is known for their glass blowing factories. We were able to watch a man do it in his shop. Burano is known for lace and it’s colorful buildings. It was a great weekend! Seriously a dream!!
