What were you grateful for this week?

This week I was really grateful for the fact that I got to see all 2 of my friends here in Milan before I leave this weekend.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most difficult part was saying goodbye to my new friends here in Milan.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week not only did I go to the park with my host brother like 3 or 4 times but one of those times was with 4 children in total.

Tell us about your week! This week I did a lot of final preparation for leaving Milan which included seeing all of the people that I have met here for the last time. It’s really hard to say goodbye to these people that I have grown with even in my 6 months here and knowing that I am going back to my normal life back at home again. This week I also had to go to the Questura to pick up my Permesso di Soggiorno (residency permit) and it was a big headache. Finally I was able to get all of the necessary paperwork and they gave me my permit. It was way more work than it will be worth just due to the fact that I only need it for one month, and I’ve been here already in Italy for 5 months. I’m just glad that I got it because it means I can travel in and out of Italy without problems. (Hopefully.) This week I watched four 5-year olds at the same time for about 7 hours on Wednesday. It was a hard day definitely but this is what I signed up for. This past weekend I went out with my best friend from Italy that I met here and also my best Italian friend that I met when I first arrived here in Milan. It was really nice to see them for the last time.
