What were you grateful for this week? Good friends.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most challenging part of this week was public transportation.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I taught the boys how to play some card games that they did not know before. I also made sure to try and prepare something for my host parents to have when they arrived from work.

Tell us about your week! This week was awesome! I finally feel like the boys are connecting to me. They have been so well behaved and are willing to try new things more than before.

This weekend was a blast! L, N, and I took a trip this past weekend where we went to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. The ruins of Pompeii were a site to see! It was incredible to walk down those cobblestone paths and feel a sense of nostalgia for the people that once lived there and were preserved by the ash. There was pottery, mosaics, whole rooms, and even bodies that the ash preserved. It really was an unforgettable sight. We also made our way down to the amalfi coast.

I have been wanting to go to Positano for the longest time. Getting there was a little tricky. We had to take a train and then two buses. The ride had the most winding roads but the view of the coast was beautiful. The bus stopped almost a million times, it seemed like, but once we were there, none of that seemed to matter. It was everything I hoped for and more. I had to keep on pinching myself to make sure that it wasn’t a dream. Sadly, we only got to be in Positano for a few hours, but I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
