What were you grateful for this week?Grateful for strangers who are willing to help get the perfect picture.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The little girl I teach doesn’t really seem to like me. Yet! She’s made it slightly difficult and awkward. But we have good moments! I just need to try harder and be positive.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I stayed home Friday night with the little girl so that the parents could go out on a date! They had a great time.
Tell us about your week! This week was great! But kinda hard at the same time. I’ve been starting to feel slightly homesick, but nothing major. It usually goes away really fast.
I went to go see Pompeii on Saturday!! The trip was completely spontaneous. I booked a day tour the night before and was in line by 7 the next day but then waited for 2 hours for the bus to show up. Everything turned out ok though. I have always thought Pompeii was really interesting and have always wanted to see it! It is such a beautiful little city with a tragic background. It’s interesting to think of the people that lived during the time of the eruption. Especially the perfectly preserved person that they have on display. Who were they? What was their life like? I had a great time and can check it off my bucket list!
Sunday I had a very chill day! I spent the day reading in a piazza. It all sounds very movie-like. I read in a piazza in italy while eating gelato and the sun setting on the horizon. It was amazing. I’d like to say, I’m a very big fan of gelato! So far, I haven’t had any bad gelato! In fact, I haven’t eaten anything that I don’t like yet! Despite a small amount of homesickness, it was a really great week!
