What were you grateful for this week? This week I was grateful for the chance to Skype my entire family at once on Mother’s Day.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most difficult part of this week was the fact that I didn’t sleep well for some reason.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had.

This week I watched 4 kids at once at our apartment for my host mom.

Tell us about your week! This week was pretty good. I went out a few times to get food with my American friend, and the weather was really good too. We went to a cute vintage art show that popped up in a venue where we had actually been to a club at night before. The art show was very interesting and we had a good time looking at everything that the artists brought. After that we went to get food outside because there were some street vendors. The food I got was a little bit expensive but I guess that’s life.

After that we met up with our other American friend at Cairoli Castello and we all went to a big food festival. We walked to a new part of town that was very serene and pleasant. When we arrived at the food festival there weren’t very many people so it was nice. I ordered Spanish paella and a cup of sangria. Although the food was pretty expensive it was worth it. There was food from all over the world there so it was nice to see such variety in Milan. We drank some wine and chatted as the food festival got very busy. Some new friends showed up that were traveling through Milan and we all had a good time getting to know each other. We ended up going to Parco Sempione and drinking wine as the sun went down. It was a really fun night.
