What were you grateful for this week?I was grateful for the extra time I had off from work so that I could finish my online classes.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most difficult part of this week was getting my first sunburn of the summer.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I don’t think I had a wow moment this week.

Tell us about your week! This week was very fun but also slightly stressful. It has been finals week for my online classes from my University back home so I have had a ton of work to do. This weekend I went on my first trip out of Milan (sadly) since arriving three months ago. Now that my online classes are over I actually will have time to travel more.

I went with my American friend to a small town on the coast south of Milan called Camogli. The train ride was about 2.5 long and luckily we got seats on the train. A ton of people had to stand up in the aisles or even sit down in the aisles.

When we arrived in Camogli we got lunch from a little nice restaurant and then we went to the beach. The beach wasn’t filled with your typical beach sand but rather large stones. The cool thing was that these stones were all crazy smooth and were the perfect shapes for rock-skipping. We ended up spending about 4 hours tanning and wading in the water. The water was really cold but it felt so nice with the hot sun. I got extremely sunburned on the beach before we decided we should explore the city a little bit. We got gelato which was delicious and then walked around for cute photos to take. The town was surprisingly boring so we ended up going back on an earlier train than we thought we would take.
