What were you grateful for this week?I’m grateful that I was able to show friends around the city. 

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Walking around through all the crowds. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I help my family pack for their trip. 

Tell us about your week! This week was really good. My host family went to London so I’ve been alone at the house since Thursday. B came to Rome and stayed with me this weekend. It was so fun to show her around the city. We met up with J who is also an au pair here and on Saturday we all went out and walked around Trastevere. We went to the trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. There was a gelato festival going on in and it was fun to see all the people trying gelato. We saw the Pantheon as well. Today B and I went to the Colosseum. It was beautiful. 

Because I live here I’ve already seen everything and it was fun to play the role of tour guide while B was here. Tomorrow B and I are going to the mouth of truth. It was a beautiful weekend and on Saturday it was 80 degrees. 

This weekend consisted of a lot of walking because I live so close to everything we just walked to all of our destinations. We went grocery shopping and got food for the house so that we could make our own meals and that was really cool because it was my first time going grocery shopping here in Rome. I live in such an amazing city and I’m so thankful for that.
