What were you grateful for this week?My real family.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?Emotions of leaving Italy.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.My host mom went out of town again so I helped a lot with the kids. They like me and listen to me more so the nanny doesn’t have to do every single thing when the mom is out of town because I can help a bit more than in the past.
Tell us about your week! This week was pretty chill. I ate lots of pizza and gelato of course. The girls who aren’t here for long are starting to go home which has been super weird because it’s reminding me that I leave soon! Even though these relationships I’ve made are short lived, I know I will have connections all over he world for many years to come.
This week was weird dealing with my emotions of leaving Italy and also wanting to return home. I absolutely do not want to leave this wonderful city that has become my home. But, the fact that the end is near is making me just want to get the end over with and return home.
For the weekend I just went on a quick day trip to Cinque Terre! It was beautiful to see a cute little cluster of towns right on the coast of Italy. It’s also so cool that there are so many great cities so close to Milan. I went with a local Italian friend. We ate sea food right on the board walk, climbed to the top views, and layed out on the sand.
Then I came back and partied with my friends in Milan. I will miss all of my friends and my host family as well. The little boys are seriously so cute and have pretty much become my little brothers. Too bad it’s illegal for me to stay in Milan haha.
